Devotions
What I like about Jesus appearing to His disciples after He was raised from the dead is that He appeared when they were doing everyday things. They weren’t in the temple praying Lord please come (although a time of prater is when the Holy Spirit showed up), they were walking down the street, or fishing. It shows you that God wants to be with you all the time, in everyday life, not just at church. Cause face it, Jesus LOVED His disciples, and He loves us.
And you are free indeed.
So let us r u n in liberty.
That Man On The Bus
You know that man on the bus? The one you really don’t wanna sit next to, and you wish he’d just get off already, because he stinks?
you don’t know if when he gets off that bus, he’s going to walk into a house with dialpdated walls and not enough laundry detergent to wash his clothes every time he wears them.
You know that lady with the weird face who always stares at you?
you don’t know if her face is like that because her dad beat her as a child and it never fully healed.
You know that creepy alcoholic who wanders around your town, who you purposely avoid at all costs?
you don’t know if he drinks 24/7 just because he feels like no one cares about about him, and if a simple smile might change his mind.
You know that fat kid who always eats his weight in food?
you don’t know if the only reason he eats like that is because it fills the void that his parents left when they died.
None of them did anything wrong. Everyday, we come into contact with hundreds of people. Each of them has a story. How many of them do you know? As humans we think we have the right to judge each other, and state things that displease us about one another. As Christians, we say it doesn’t matter what harsh things the world says about you, when often times we’re the very ones saying those harsh things. Why do we judge each other so harshly? We don’t know the reasons behind the things we see on the surfaces of people. If we did, it would really change the way we view other people. Next time you see someone and you wanna say something about the way they look or the way they’re dressed or the things they do, think about where in the Bible it says to condemn the broken, because we’re all broken. Think about people’s stories. And instead of spreading condemnation, spread peace. Spread LOVE. Because God loved you first.

Beautiful God
Laying Your majesty aside
You reached out in love to show me life
Lifted from darkness into light
Oh
King for a slave
Trading Your righteousness for shame
Despite all my pride and foolish ways
Caught in Your infinite embrace
Oh
hope will turn the cold into warmth, your weakness into strength, and your sadness into joy.

God is able, He will never fail. He is Almighty God.
Greater than all we seek, greater than all we ask. He has done great things.

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.Galatians 1:10 (NLT)
